A Messy Brain in a Messy World

As a child, I didn’t have the words for what was going on inside me. I just knew that sometimes, I felt too much—too sensitive, too distracted, too out of place. My mind was always racing, my emotions felt like wildfires, and relationships were confusing.

Like so many of us, I spent years feeling like I was failing at life. I tried everything—pushing myself harder, criticizing myself more, and wondering why things that seemed easy for others felt like climbing a mountain for me.

Then, one day, I had a realization that changed everything:

My brain wasn’t broken. It was doing exactly what it was wired to do.

I had lived through things that rewired my brain. It wasn’t my fault—but now that I understood it, I could do something about it.

Why Coaching (Not Therapy)?

I’m a therapist—but Messy Brain isn’t therapy. It’s coaching.

Here’s the difference:

Coaching focuses on practical tools, skills, and forward movement. It’s about learning new ways to work with your brain and make life better now.

Therapy is a clinical process that explores deeper emotional healing, trauma work, and mental health diagnoses.

Messy Brain is here to teach, support, and guide—but it’s not a replacement for therapy. If you need clinical support, I’ll always encourage you to seek the right resources.
